Valard Geomatics Ltd, a fast growing company named one of Alberta’s Top 70 Employers and partnered with Valard Construction LP is currently seeking a qualified Survey Crew Chief living in the province of Ontario to join our team.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Managing and performing field survey duties.
  • Training and mentoring survey assistants.
  • Experience in Legal Surveys and Construction.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Project Managers and Site Supervisors.
  • Prepare field notes, sketches and digital survey data for office submission.
  • Perform field survey calculations.
  • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel and on projects at various locations across Alberta.
  • Have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Article pupils are welcome to apply.

What you require:

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification from a recognized post-secondary institution in a program with a survey or geomatics focus or equivalent legal and construction surveying experience
  • A minimum of 4 year’s experience in the geomatics field with a primary focus on legal and construction surveying
  • A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions and recognize problems

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 

  •  Assist Party Chiefs with survey related duties.
  • Ability to use survey equipment without supervision.
  • Cleaning and maintaining survey equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel and on projects at various locations across Alberta or Canada.
  • Willing to work on shifts (i.e. 21 days on 7 days off).

What you require:

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification from a recognized post-secondary institution in a program with a survey or geomatics focus or equivalent surveying experience
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the geomatics field with a primary focus on surveying experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced
