Alberta / British Columbia Operations Manager
Dave is Valard Geomatics’ Legal Survey Manager supervising both office and field staff while working directly on legal and construction survey projects. In his leadership role, Dave is involved with developing office and field work procedures, safe work practices and safety standards, and assists with day-to-day office supervision. Dave ensures employees are compliant with Corporate Quality Control Procedures and is focused on continually improving project efficiency while implementing streamline solutions.
Two major projects of particular mention which Dave is managing are the West Fort McMurray 500-kV AC Transmission Line (WFMAC) and Sask Power Island Falls to Key Lake I1K Transmission Line project in addition to multiple substation projects.
Dave was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and received his Geomatics Engineering Diploma from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in 1998 and his Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Geomatics) from the University of Calgary in 2006. Dave is a commissioned Canada Land Surveyor, as of 2010, and received his Professional Engineer status in 2014.
He loves to travel and keeps busy at home running after his two boys.
